Information session on the Water Cooperation and Diplomacy Joint Master’s degree Program
Water management is conflict management. Regardless of the scale, ensuring that the needs of the people and ecosystems that rely on this critical resource are met effectively, requires a comprehensive understanding of both water science and water diplomacy, including dispute mitigation, management, and resolution.
To address these needs, the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands, the University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica, and Oregon State University (OSU) in the USA, designed a joint education programme in Water Cooperation and Diplomacy. The goal of this educational initiative is to train future water managers and other professionals to address competition over water.
The programme’s curriculum broadens the scope of approach to conflict and peace, provides a theoretical dimension to conflict, engages with multi-level conflict dimensions and strengthens skills through highly experiential learning opportunities. More information about the Program is available here: https://www.waterdiplomacymaster.org/.
We invite young water specialists and early career professionals who have an interest to be part of the Program to join the Information session on April 15th at 3-4.30 pm CEST time.
During the session you will learn about the structure of the degree, its features and will have a chance to ask your questions to each university, and talk to some of the alumni of the programme!
Registration is mandatory following the link - https://edu.nl/9mxru. The link to the event will be sent to registered participants few days before the event.
