This brief summarises the report “Vesidiplomatia - ennakoivaa rauhanvälitystoimintaa” that was put together by a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Aalto University and the University of Eastern Finland for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland (MFA).
It provides a definition for water diplomacy and presents a framework for its analysis. The framework is also tested in two case study areas: Central Asia and Iraq.
